Describing their Spring/ Summer 2012 collection Mark Badgley and James Mischka explained that they wanted to make clothing that was structural in shapes and bright in colors. They definitely succeeded in both. Pieces in the collection are not airy or flowing in silhouettes. They have certain shapes, often with elements of corset style that holds the woman’s figure tightly. And the hues are totally amazing: vivid lemon, tangerine, magenta, aquamarine, gold and a variety of more reserved but no less attractive tones.

What the designers also succeeded in was the femininity of designs. Beautiful dresses came with bows, embroidery and beading, adorned with sequins and other cute details we, ladies, like so much. Frills and pleats added delicateness to the collection.
